Where mobs cluster

The three most crowded hunting grounds measured by mob placements — and what actually lives there.

"Most crowded" here means one thing: the most mob placements per map among the open hunting grounds. By that measure three maps stand far above the rest, and each earns its crowding honestly — dense packs, tight quarters, and the respawns to keep them that way.

MapMob placementsStonesKnown for
Yongbi Desert west1,17227Black Wind Soldier packs, Ember Flame Golem
Yongbi Desert east1,16825Black Wind Maniac and Black Wind Archer packs
Mount Thunder1,05217Gnoll Magician and Gnoll General camps, 6 boss dens

Density cuts both ways. A farmer clears more kills per hour when placements overlap; a level-25 character who wanders into the desert meets four aggressive spawns at once. Check the level band of a map's residents before you go — the desert floor starts around level 26 with the Black Wind Soldier, Mount Thunder's gnolls run deeper still.

Loot-wise these maps pay twice: dense kills mean frequent drop rolls, and the stones scattered among the mobs add their own. The drop explorer lists which of each map's residents drop what you're farming.
